Since 1912, five generations have succeeded Marie-Louise Thibaut, who restored the Hostellerie and created, among other specialties, the famous galette.
Over more than a century, the Hostellerie has grown from a small café into a charming restaurant with 18 rooms spread across three different houses.
Many films have been shot here, and numerous well-known personalities have stayed with us.
Today, we continue to honor our heritage, doing our very best to preserve the traditions of hospitality and gastronomy that have defined us for over 100 years.
During the visit of U.S. President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton to Pérouges on June 27, 1996, the couple visited the medieval village in the Ain region while attending the G7 Summit in Lyon, France (held from June 27 to June 29, 1996).
They strolled through the village, mingled with the crowd, and President Clinton delivered a speech in which he spoke about the recent attack on a U.S. base in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and emphasized the need to strengthen the fight against terrorism.
